Especially if it's already sent out
and you heard nothing back

You spent weeks on your Pitch Deck.
You worked out which investors back businesses like yours, approached the ones that fitted, and sent it out. Then nothing.
No reply, no questions, no feedback of any kind.
So you change a slide or two, send it to the next name on the list, and hear nothing again. Then come more networking events, an exhausting cycle that leaves less time for the company, while growth stalls waiting for much-needed funding.
The instinct is to doubt the business model itself. In reality, that may not be the problem at all. The reason could simply be that the Deck isn't strong enough, and because nobody explains to you what is missing, you keep sending the same version.
What sparks an investor's interest is whether they can find the information they need to assess the opportunity, how quickly they can get to it, and whether it holds together when they check.
That part can be fixed.
After reviewing 500+ Pitch Decks and running my UK/US Investor Network, I know what investors expect to see, and I can tell you exactly where your Deck falls short.

Right now, investors can afford to be selective. That has not always been the case, and it changes how a Deck has to work.
Investors have an enormous number of opportunities crossing their desk these days, and I have to take that into account in how I work with my network.
It means I encourage founders to put everything an investor needs into the Deck clearly and up front, rather than relying on later conversations to fill the gaps.
I do understand the founder's instinct to hold a few points back to discuss in a meeting, but in practice that no longer works. Without the full picture in front of them, an investor cannot assess the opportunity properly, and given the volume of Decks they receive, they often move on rather than come back with questions.
It is worth putting yourself in their position. Every incomplete Deck means another exchange of emails, another call, more time spent gathering information that should have been in the document in the first place. Very few will take that on, and the Deck that stands out is the one that gives them everything they need in one place.
There is one more thing to know.
Many investors now run incoming Decks through AI and screening software, and use the summary it produces to decide whether to look further.
If the essential information is not in the Deck, it will not be in the summary, the business will not appear to meet investor's criteria, and it will not be considered.
HERE ARE A FEW THINGS I OFTEN SEE FOUNDERS LEAVE OUT:
• Defining the company in a single sentence. Harder than it looks, because it is easy to list features instead of saying what the business is for. Use this format: “A {product type} that helps {target customer} with {main problem} by delivering {main benefit} using {your differentiator}”;
• The problem you are solving, and who has it. Supported by evidence rather than assertion. Why now. What has changed in the market, in technology, in behaviour or in regulation that makes this the right moment;
• Unit economics and margins. Surprisingly, many Decks leave these out, and it is often the most closely read part of the whole document;
• Traction to date and go to market. Not a statement that things are going well, but the figures that show it. How you will reach customers and what it will cost, rather than a list of channels;
• Use of funds. Usually included, but the runway it buys is often left out;
...and many others.
None of this takes long to add. Knowing what's missing is the hard part.
You have been inside the business for a while, and that's what makes you good at running it.
It is also what makes it hard for you to judge your own Deck.

A second pair of eyes, from someone who reads these every week
and knows what investors expect to find,
is what closes that gap.

The workflow is simple. Once you have chosen your option and paid, you will be able to submit your Pitch Deck, financials and a few details about the raise. Your data is safe with me, and confidentiality is covered in my full Terms and Conditions.

I go through your Deck the way an investor will, looking for exactly what they look for. What is missing, what contradicts, and what is not doing enough to hold an investor's interest.
Not only the data, but how the brand story is told and whether it holds together.

It will be sent over to you along with an Introduction Summary, which is usually sent to potential investors in the email body when you circulate your Deck.

The Circle Investor Network connects Family Offices, Venture Capital, Private Equity and Angel Investors in the UK and US with investment-ready businesses.
I have built it over years of personal relationships and through the invitation-only Investor Evenings held in Mayfair London.
Once you have worked through the recommendations in your Findings Report and updated your Deck, you will be able to submit it to the Network for circulation. Where there is a match, you are introduced to the investor directly to continue the conversation.
Investors from the Network also sit on the panel at
Pitch Perfect live pitching events that I run for founders in Mayfair London.

The Findings Report usually prompts founders to make changes to their Deck, and as you continue building the business, your raise will keep moving too. Traction changes. Financials change. Terms change. The round gets restructured, new investors come in, the use of funds is reworked. The Deck that was right a few months ago, sometimes a few weeks ago, may not be the one you want to send now.
When that happens, I am happy to take another look and check the updated version holds together before it goes out. I am committed to supporting you through those changes, so any repeat Review for the same business comes at a reduced price, whichever option you chose the first time.
Entirely optional, of course, but if you need my help, but if you need my help, get in touch and we will discuss.

"Having taken a business through an IPO at a $1.2 billion valuation, I am not new to running large-scale projects and raising capital.
My new venture is complex, and the financials run across a dozen tabs, and after months of back and forth with the team I had assumed it all matched the Deck. Dasha's review found a substantial number of discrepancies we had never noticed."

"I am a first-time entrepreneur after 30 years in banking, and somehow I always struggled to explain the idea behind my fintech clearly and concisely without leaving something important out. Practising live with Dasha made all the difference. I have had a few meetings since, and I am far more confident in the way I present my business."
Teodor Kostov
Founder, TC Capital

"I assumed some of the business information was better saved for a conversation. I had not realised investors now expect much more up front. The Pitch Deck Review helped me understand what they are actually looking for, and I now circulate my Deck with more confidence."
Jennifer Clair
Founder, British Couture House

"The list of questions that came with Dasha's review was tougher than I expected. It made me prepare properly rather than assume I could handle it on the day. Two of them came up almost word for word in my next meeting, and answering them well changed the whole tone of the conversation."

I'm Dasha White, and I know what investors are looking for because I work with them and ask them.
I run the UK/US Circle Investor Network, connecting Family Offices, Venture Capital, Private Equity and Angel Investors with founders raising capital, and that is how I know what investors expect to see in the Deck, and it is often not what founders expect.
20+ years of building businesses, curating communities and working with investors, emerging funds and founders at every stage. A chartered accountancy background means the numbers behind your slides get the same attention as the story, which is not something typical Deck reviews offer.

Do as much as you can to the best of your ability, then send it as it is. The most polished Decks, the ones founders feel most confident about, are often returned with the same number of omissions and contradictions as those still work in progress. It is entirely up to you when to request our services.
If you only want your Deck looked at, choose REVIEW. If in addition you want your financials checked against your Deck, choose DILIGENCE. If you want all of that and you also want to practise your pitch live and discuss any other questions, choose REHEARSAL. If you are unsure, book a free 20min Discovery Call and we will work it out.
Your Pitch Deck, your financials, and a few other details about the raise. Once payment is made, a form opens for you to upload everything in one place. Nothing needs to be emailed.
The Discovery Call is a 20 minute session run on Zoom, for us to get to know each other a little and establish which of the three packages suits your circumstances.
I do not conduct an analysis of your financials or projections. What I do is check that the numbers in your Pitch Deck correspond with what your financials say, which is particularly useful when the financials and projections are complex and run across a high number of spreadsheet tabs. Also, none of the packages includes creating a Pitch Deck from scratch. But if that is what you need, get in touch and I can certainly help.
I send the Findings Report and everything else included in your package within five working days of receiving your materials. REVIEW is usually back within three working days.
Every point in the Findings Report is explained with the reasoning behind it, so it should stand on its own. If anything is not clear, you can of course get in touch.
Yes. Get in touch and I will send you a payment link for the difference between the two packages.
No. Nobody can promise you that, and I would be cautious of any consultant who does. What a Review does is remove the reasons an investor passes before they have properly looked at your Pitch Deck and considered the opportunity.
Absolutely. Everything you send me is treated as confidential, as set out in my Terms and Conditions. I can also sign an NDA on request.
I work with founders at every stage, from a first raise through to later rounds, whether the business is pre-revenue or already generating income.
No. The Circle Investor Network includes international investors and founders. The Findings Report I send you applies regardless of where you are based or where your investors are, because what an investor looks for in a Pitch Deck does not change by country.
